I felt like reminiscing on this past weekend.  It was fairly low-key, nothing super special other than hubs came home after a long week away from home.

Up at 4AM means she gets to go back to sleep at 5AM while I have to stay up and get ready for work...

Waking up Bubba with snuggles...She seems happy about this, no?

Taking a selfie to send to the hubs who had been gone most of the week.  I had to show off my new LulaRoe top and my make up was on point.

At the end of the day, my desk looked like this...which is pretty standard! #studentaffairslife

Bubba keeps rocking his sight words tests with 100%...every now and then this calls for ice cream!  Heavy on the sprinkles please!

Vivian slept til 6AM then decided to take a nap at 7:30AM...Sassy thought it was a good idea too

Bubba happily played Legos while Vivian napped and Mama actually got to sit still, drink coffee and even read a few pages of a magazine...

After baseball practice and lunch, Bubba played outside for nearly 5 hours straight...He loves playing with his Army men...

Lounging waiting for Daddy to get home

In between being outside with Bubba and making some delicious Broccoli Cheese soup there was a 3 hour nap during which I snuggled with Vivian...

I hope everyone is surviving the week so far!

Weekending

This past weekend was a fairly busy one.  Going into the weekend we breathed easy as we realized we didn't have all that much planned...
Well that is just never how it ends up in our house for very long...

| SATURDAY |

Bubba and I were out of the house by 8:30AM to run a couple of errands, pick up some CFA chicken minis (his fav!) and go to the barbershop for a much needed haircut.  Bubba's Grandaddy went to this barbershop, which is why we always go there. It is just another small way we keep Grandaddy's memory alive for Bubba.  Ms. Tammy decided to have a little fun with us and put him in a Bama robe while cutting his hair...Bubba was not happy about it!

After morning errands we went to a birthday party for the daughter of one of the Hub's friends from high school.  They put together such a cute party, but it was hotter than hell...even at 11am!!  I was pretty worn out by the time I got home, I went to lay down for just a few minutes...Decided to check myself out on my phone to see how much more make up I needed to reapply and was pleasantly surprised to see that I didn't look that bad for a girl who is nearly 8 months pregnant and had been out in the thick GA heat! Naturally I had to document this discovery while I was lying down! Call me vain, but when you look and feel good...selfie away. Do what makes you happy!

Next up was Bubba's baseball practice...in the middle of the day...when it had to be at least 100 degrees.  When that was over I headed to Newnan to be with family that was in town to be with a family member that was in the hospital. Sad circumstances, but it was still nice to see family from back home in Kentucky for a bit.  I ran some more errands, talked with family on the phone and was finally coming in the door around 10PM, just in time to catch the last bit of the Auburn game.  Auburn crushed Ark State.  WAR EAGLE!

| SUNDAY |

 #messyhairdontcare #nomakeupdontcare

Sunday we had a chance to sleep in and indulge in some Panera Bagels I brought home from Newnan the night before.  We ate in the backyard to enjoy the 5 minutes of cool weather we have in the mornings. Bubba snuggled with me, or my belly I should say, and picked me some gorgeous mexican sunflowers.

Bubba and the Hubs headed to the batting cages to work on Bubba's swing and I headed to grocery.  The rest of the afternoon was spent tying up loose ends around the house, laundry and prepping for the upcoming week.  Bubbas lunches are all ready to go for the week!  On the menu is pizza roll-ups with Applegate Farms Pepperoni, Mozzarella, Spinach and Pizza Sauce inside a whole wheat tortilla, cut-up grapes, white cheddar popcorn and for snack, graham cracker bites.

We had  Bubba's Nana over for supper and games to celebrate Grandparent's day and then Bubba got to sleep in his bed that his Daddy has been working on refinishing the past two weekends.  His room still has a long way to go, but he sure is loving his new bed.

Happy Hump Day, Friends!

Weekending

Happy Wednesday, y'all!  I wish it was still the weekend, but I'm not going to dwell...Because I get to go to Auburn this coming weekend!  How about that win over Texas A&M?  That is the Auburn I am used to.  They played a very strategic and smart game.  Super proud of my boys!

Friday afternoon I discovered our pumpkin had grown a fur coat overnight.....

GROSS!  We have had so much rain over the last week and a half that all of that mold grew in a period of about a day.  We carved it two days before Halloween, so it really had not been out all that long.  The muggy weather was the perfect catalyst for the pumpkin to turn into a gray abominable snowman!

Friday night our friends from college came to visit.  We were so busy talking the whole time that we forgot to take any pictures.  Such an epic fail!  They are expecting a baby in April and I cannot wait to love on that sweet baby!!

Saturday

We got up early, had breakfast and lazed around for a bit....It looked a little like this...

Then we got moving and headed down to Nana's for a little bit.  Bubba and I went on a mini-walk around the property.

After a little bit, Hubs and I left.  Bubba got to spend the night with his Nana.  Something that he had been wanting to do for a few weeks now.  Hubs and I got to have a date day, night and morning.  It had been a while since we had gotten to spend that much time alone.  It was much needed.

We did absolutely nothing and it was glorious.  We came home and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. We watched Trainwreck and it was amazing.  Completely crass and full of horrible language, but absolutely hysterical.  If you are easily offended, do not watch it.

Hubs put together our new fire pit, but thanks to all the rain we were unable to use it.  Instead we spent the night watching football.  War Eagle!

Sunday

we were slow to rise, ate a good breakfast then went to get our Bubba.  We loved the alone time, and really don't get enough of it, but we missed our Bubba.

The most productive thing that happened the rest of Sunday was putting up an Auburn tree in Bubba's bedroom, his request, and building a fort...

I'll end this post with a picture of our living room so far.  Slowly, but surely, it is becoming homier and is starting to reflect our family's easy going style.

Happy Hump Day!
